Adrienne Clark
Adrienne Clark Whitworth was born and raised in Salem, Utah. She began her dance training at Lifehouse, where she continued dancing for ten years. While at Lifehouse, Adrienne trained in ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and tap. Once graduated, Adrienne continued to pursue dance at Brigham Young University. Adrienne served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chile, Santiago North Mission. After returning home, Adrienne continued her dance training at BYU. Her training included contemporary, ballroom, tap, ballet, jazz, choreography, and teaching pedagogy.
After auditioning, she became a member of the BYU Ballroom Dance Company for two years. After dancing and competing in ballroom, Adrienne was a dancer and choreographer for BYU DancEnsemble. Adrienne also danced with Foot Poetry, a tap company. During Adrienne’s senior year at BYU she was blessed with the opportunity to dance on Contemporary Dance Theatre. As a member of this company she was able to learn from various choreographers from around the world, including Laja Field & Martin Durov, Jen Freeman, Natosha Washington, and Jesse Obremski. As a member of CDT, Adrienne got to tour through Berlin, Germany and Prague, Czech Republic. While in Germany, she was able to participate in the B12 dance festival. While in Prague, CDT won the overall first place award at the New Prague Dance Festival. Performing and taking classes internationally was such an incredible experience.
Adrienne graduated from BYU in April 2019 with a degree in Dance Education. She is currently working at Timpanogas High School as the dance teacher. Adrienne is also excited to be dancing with Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company this year.
Apart from teaching, Adrienne loves to be with her husband Tanner, and surrounded by family. She loves to spend time outside. She is also very passionate about fitness and is a High Fitness Instructor and loves it!!
