Herriman Dance Company Audition Information & Form

Auditions will take place on July 21, 2023 in Studio 2 for jazz and ballet.  Auditions will take place at the times listed below.

Company students are required to sign a one-year contract.  They must commit to their company from August 1-June 14.  A student quitting mid-year causes consequences for the entire group of students and the teachers.  It affects the quality of the performances and disrupts the cohesiveness of the group.  The only acceptable reasons for getting out of your company contract are 1.  A serious injury that will require months of rehabilitation and rest.  2.  A move out of the area.  Parents and students should discuss this together to make sure that both are committed for the entire year.  Students who drop out before June 14 will be required to pay two months of tuition after they stop coming to class.

 *Please come 30 minutes prior to your start time to check in and warm up.  Studio 3 will be available for you to use.  Audition will be held in Studio 2.

9:00-10:30 am               Ages 12-18 

10:30 am-12:00 pm     Ages 9-11  (as of September 1, 2023)

12:30-2:00 pm               Ages 6-8 (as of September 1, 2023) 

MUSICAL THEATER

We will not be holding auditions for Musical Theater this year. Students will enroll in classes according to their age.

Students within each class will have the opportunity if they so choose to audition and opt-in for lead rolls, solos and small group opportunities throughout the year that will be rehearsed outside of class as we prepare for performances. Class time will be devoted to improving vocal technique, acting, getting better at learning music quickly and basic movement/dance skills. Students will also learn group numbers in their classes for the shows.
