Rachel Cobia

Mariah Sainsbury

Mariah grew up on a farm in Payson, Utah. She is a book enthusiast and a lover of all things chocolate. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in Dance and a Business Minor. During her BYU experience she performed with Contemporary Dance Theatre and DancEnsemble. Since graduating Mariah has taught as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University and in 2024 moved to New York City where she studied and performed with Gibney Company Community Center and The Harkness Center for Injured Dancers. She performed in The Table of Silence during a collaboration with Buglisi Dance Theatre Company. She also conducted research with the Center of LDS Arts under Vanessa Cook. Mariah loves to choreograph and most recently choreographed the Addams Family musical at Corner Canyon High School and premiered her new piece titled Experience Over Opinion with BYU’s DancEnsemble. Mariah enjoyed performing in Newsies with the Hale Center Theatre and is currently dancing with Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company. This will be her seventh year of teaching with Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy.
