Maddie Butler

In her childhood, Maddie grew up dancing competitively in Orange County and was a member of a pre-professional contemporary dance company before attending college. As a fourth-year student at BYU, she has trained internationally in Berlin and Vienna and collaborated with and performed works from Martha Graham, Jenn Freeman, Jesse Obremski, Laja Field, and Alice Klock. Her main focus has been being a member and serving in the presidency of BYU’s top-tier touring company, Contemporary Dance Theater. Recently, she has had the opportunity to be an associate choreographer in musicals such as the world premiere of 1820: The Musical and BYU Mainstage Production’s Fiddler on the Roof. Maddie is currently teaching and choreographing at several Utah and Salt Lake Valley studios.
