Lindsey Brown
Miss Lindsey Brown studied as a Dance Major at Brigham Young University with an emphasis on ballet performance for three years before she switched majors and graduated in Therapeutic Recreation. This gave her a unique perspective, and she developed a love and understanding of the body on a deeper level. She experienced serious injuries that changed the course of her dance career. She turned pain into purpose and has dedicated the last 23 years to teaching ballet with more body awareness and brain connectivity for safer movement. She developed a body awareness and posture program, in which she travels and teaches students and teachers her methodology and how to apply better awareness to dance technique and movement. As a result of her program, her dancers have decreased injuries and increased longevity in their careers. She has been hired to create ballet and pointe syllabi for studios to increase ballet technique for cohesive programs for studios. She has trained studio staff on how to teach technical concepts and cues for better results in student correction. As a teacher, she trains dancers to self-correct their movements through the autonomic nervous system and brain function. Miss Brown continues her education through trainings and programs with Neuro-Training For Athletes, NDEO, API, Core Balance Training, PBT, ABT, Leap N Learn, Lisa Howell, Maria Vegh, and Finis Jhung.
