Whitney Lancaster
Whitney Ackley has been dancing since she was 11 years old. She grew up dancing at Jazz’n Place dance studio where she was trained in jazz, ballet, contemporary, and hip hop. She was apart of Lehi High School dance company where her choreography won first place at State. Her senior year she was apart of UDO (urban dance organization) and was educated in all styles of hip hop. After graduating high school she made it onto Odyssey’s pre professional program Odyssey 2, on full tuition scholarship. She was able to receive more education in ballet, jazz, hip hop and also learn knew styles like tap and ballroom. After a year of Odyssey 2 she made it onto Odyssey dance theatre. For the past two years she has been performing with them in many productions such as, Thriller, Redux Nutcracker, It’s a Wonderful Life, Romeo and Juliet, Chicago, and Midsummer Nights Dream. As much as she loves being on stage dancing, she loves teaching and sharing the beautiful art that is dance just as much. She is so excited to be teaching at Lifehouse Performing Arts!
