Kyla Balser

Kyla Balser was born and raised in Utah. There she graduated from Brigham Young University
with a BA in dance. While studying there, she had the privilege of working with and performing
works by renowned artists including Laja Field, FLOCK (Alice Klock and Florian Lochner), Omar
Roman De Jesus, and Jesse Obremski. After graduating from BYU, Kyla moved to New York
City as a freelance dancer. There she joined Obremski/Works as a performing artist under the
direction of Jesse Obremski. She has been performing with Obremski/Works since 2024. She
has had the opportunity to train at multiple intensive programs including Deltebre Dansa,
ImPulsTanz Festival, and Springboard Danse Pittsburgh where she performed work by Kyle
Abraham. She is excited to be joining SALT contemporary dance as a company member this
coming season. Kyla deeply believes in the transformative beauty and power of dance and is
eager to share her knowledge with the students of Lifehouse.
