Ashley Rather
Ashley Rather’s journey with movement began as a six-year-old, dancing and singing in her living room, where her passion for the arts first ignited. Soon after, she embarked on formal training in ballet, tap, and jazz, along with singing in entertainment groups. At Cottonwood High School, Ashley shone brightly as part of the dance company and the nationally ranked Varsity Songleading team, while also nurturing young dancers at her home studio as a teacher.
After graduating, Ashley joined the United Spirit Association, where she taught dance camps and judged regional competitions for four years while pursuing her college education. Her first year was spent at the University of Utah, where she danced with the Utah Rhythm & Dance Ballroom club team. She then transferred to Salt Lake Community College, competing with their collegiate Cheerleading and Dance teams. During this time, she met and married her husband, N.H.
N.H.’s architectural studies led them to Kent State University in Ohio, where Ashley studied Exercise Science. At Kent State, she danced on the KSU dance team and worked at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center as a Fitness Assessor, Indoor Cycle Instructor, and Team Lead. Her dedication to her studies culminated in her graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2008.
