Whitney Lancaster

 Jazz

Whitney has been dancing since she was 11 years old. She grew up dancing at Jazz’n Place dance studio where she was trained in jazz, ballet, contemporary, and hip hop. Whitney was a part of UDO ( urban dance organization) and was educated in all styles of hip hop. She trained with Odyssey Dance Theatre’s pre professional program, Odyssey 2, on a full tuition scholarship where she was able to receive even more education in ballet, jazz, jazz funk, hip hop, and also learn tap and ballroom. After training for a year with Odyssey 2, Whitney began dancing professionally with Odyssey Dance Theatre! She performed with ODT for 3 years and was cast in many amazing productions including: Thriller, Redux Nutcracker, It’s a Wonderful Life, Romeo and Juliet, Chicago, and Midsummer Nights Dream. She has also performed Commercially for USANA, Young Living, and Strong Productions. Whitney is currently dancing with Junction Dance Company where she is training in contemporary, break dancing, house, and tap. This will be her second year with them. As much as she loves performing and training she also has a passion for teaching and truly enjoys choreographing and inspiring dancers of every age. She has been teaching and choreographing since she was 17 years old and feels so blessed to be able to continue to teach the incredible students at Lifehouse.
